A Look At Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) Sales for Baby Care, Oral Care And Beauty Franchises.


Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) reported worldwide sales of $19.7 billion, an increase of 10.3% compared to 2016 third quarter sales of $17.8 billion. Sales by Johnson & Johnson US companies were $10.3 billion in the third quarter of 2017, which represented an increase of 9.7% as compared to the prior year. The net impact of acquisitions and divestitures on the U.S. operational sales growth was a positive 5.9%. Currency fluctuations had a positive impact of 0.8%

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) segment sales in the third quarter of 2017 were $3.4 billion, an increase of 2.9% as compared to the same period a year ago. 

The Beauty franchise achieved operational growth of 4.4% as compared to the prior year fiscal third quarter. Growth was primarily driven by inclusion of sales from the recent acquisitions, Vogue International LLC and Dr. Ci: Labo. 



The Baby Care franchise experienced an operational decline of 3.6% as compared to the prior year third quarter due to competitive pressure. 



The Oral Care franchise experienced an operational decline of 1.3% as compared to the prior year third quarter primarily driven by category declines and competitive pressure.
